It's wierd, having both a PDF and the active character, but there are times I need data off the PDF because it interacts with the character software, and vice versa. There are times I flip between the paper version and the software version of the same character, so that I can find info faster.
I can searxh the page for information, squinting at it to actually read it. I plan to write skills on to the sheet and then take the relevant skill token. I plan to create tokens for skills and this file contains regions that are colored light enough to permit writing on the sheet.
I am not wild about writing on the character cards that come with the game. What I like about Chummer is that I habe the skills arranged in ways that make sense. A character sheet for Shadowrun Crossfire. But not all the information is arranged as I need it. I'm not talking about organization, I mean physically rwading the marks on the page. Instructions: This sheet needs the Shadowrun 5th Edition Core Rulebook to use. What I love about HeroLab is that I can read the sheets. He's fighting using software because he doesn't think it's beneficial.) But I keep HeroLab open for rules, availability, and generic goons. When I gm, I see Chummer and paper sheets. When it comes time for rules, though, i head to HeroLab. There are still times I need to scroll or scrounge for the info. The Build Point system for Shadowrun is complicated, and involves tracking and manipulating a lot of numbers. When I play, the table is set for Chummer.
